“Traditional restaurant known for its history dating back to 1936 with draft beers and dishes imbued with German flavors”

Founded in 1936 by Linus Müller as a monastery courtyard (Klosterhöfchen) to sell the region's rare "Hibbdebach" cider. It is located right next to the historic Carmelite monastery, so it quickly became known to the locals. In 1939, Klosterhöfchen opened a brewery and produced the first casks of “Binding Römer Pils”, draft beer from the tap was also served which made it very popular as it was contrary to the tradition of serving only Bottled beer in a cider restaurant in Frankfurt.

Today, the restaurant is still a place to cook a variety of traditional hearty dishes in a cozy style with brown wood-paneled tables and walls. In addition to the ciders and draft beers from the tap, the restaurant also offers Riesling wines, some monastic wines and liqueurs from Andechs, Furth, or St. Gilgen for diners to enjoy after a meal.
