Profile
Griffith Park is located on the east side of the Santa Monica Mountains and covers 1,703 hectares (4,210 acres). The park's grounds include the Griffith Observatory, Hollywood sign, Los Angeles Zoo, a Greek theatre, an equestrian school built for the 1984 Olympics, golf courses, tennis courts, hiking trails, and a site. other attractions. When riding on the trails or driving through the mountain, visitors will be able to see the city and surrounding area from above.
The highlight of Griffith Park is the Griffith Observatory, one of the most interesting attractions in the city. There are both astronomy exhibitions and telescopes so visitors can see the universe with their own eyes.
Visitors have the opportunity to see the moon and planets in the solar system through the Zeiss lens, or get up close to the sun through the dedicated lens on the observatory's premises. Some nights of the month, the observatory is open at night and visitors can visit and use the telescopes free of charge.
