If you take the train to Ankara, one of the first structures you'll see upon entering the station is the Ferris wheel in Gençlik Park. This is a public space that includes nearly 70 acres of greenery and water, a swimming pool, an amusement park, an open-air theater, and two mini-trains. There are also more than 40 kiosks selling every street food. Every evening, the main pool hosts a spectacular light show that is hugely loved by children.

The park is Ankara's most central green space, a favorite place for families for evening walks and weekend picnics. Gençlik Park is a perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital.

The park has a large lake and many promenades with fountains and manicured gardens. The southeastern corner of the park is home to Ankara's Luna Park, which hosts a number of amusement rides including a ferris wheel, two roller coasters and more light rides like carousels and matching cars. suitable for young children. Located in the Ulus district of Altındağ district, Gençlik park is one of Ankara's historical parks. During the early years of the Republic, Hermann Jansen, who was invited to plan Ankara, designed Gençlik Park as a contemporary recreation-relaxation venue. In this way, the whole wetland area of the Ankara Stream will be drained and will serve as an example for the use of public and urban open spaces for people living in the new capital of the Republic. The plan was approved during a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Atatürk in 1936, and Gençlik Park was opened on 19 May 1943, the anniversary of Youth and Sports.

The Exhibition House in the park, built in 1933, was converted into the Opera House in 1946, an Italian amusement park opened in 1951, and the park has become a sufficient representation standard of public space with health museums, sculptures and many promenades. In 1957, two small steam locomotives "Mehmetçik" and "Efe", manufactured at Eskişehir Cer Atölyesi in honor of the public's love for railways, were brought here and traveled between Poolbaşı and Esmen stations. . Later, Ada Lokantası, Fenerbahçe Restaurant and Göl Casino were opened in this area.

Established on an area of 275 thousand square meters, the park was remodeled and built many more items in 2008-2009 including a pool area of 44.296 square meters and a lawn of 70,422 square meters. The Gençlik Park Complex also includes a 1,029 square meter children's playground, a 25,000 square meter amusement park, a 10,000 square meter opera house and the Ankara Theater, which is one of Ankara's largest theaters. with a capacity of 8,000 square meters, with 638 seats.
