The water of Yonyeon Valley starts from the mountainside and flows down to the coast. The water is so deep you can't see the bottom. Yongyeondari bridge deck, made of wood, standing on the bridge you can see the beautiful view of the valley. Yongyeon Valley's water doesn't dry up even during drought, and legend has it that the reason for this is that a dragon living inside the lake flew up into the sky, meaning rain would still fall here even when it doesn't fall anywhere else. Yongyeon Valley is a lake located 200m east of Yongduam Rock. It got its name because it is believed that dragons (called "Yong" in Korean) once lived there. It is a place where saltwater and fresh water meet, the landscape is created by dense forests, rapids, and beautiful underwater rocks. It is also said that it used to be a popular spot that artists and musicians chose to perform their works of art, so there are inscriptions carved into the cliffs. The Yongyeon Night Boating Festival is held here every year.
