North America's only environmental museum

With the original purpose of being an American construction during Expo 67 held in Montreal, the dome tower received a lot of attention with 5.3 million visitors in the first 6 months of its launch. The Biosphere dome tower is 62 meters high, carefully measured to create equal distances and form a perfect sphere. After the event, the US government donated this work to the city of Montreal. Later, Environment Canada bought the tower and turned it into a museum to exhibit environmental themes.

The exhibitions here are highly interactive and educational. Many green technologies are used here such as wind turbines, green roof systems, geothermal systems, wastewater treatment systems and new energy batteries.

Visitors to the Biosphere environmental museum will gain more knowledge and awareness about the environment as well as the importance of protecting the environment from harmful agents in modern social life.
