The Turkish Jewish Community History Museum was established on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the emigration of Sephardic Jews from Spain and Portugal to the Ottoman Empire. Originally, the museum was located in the Sephardic Zülfaris Synagogue built in 1671 in Karaköy. Currently, the museum ddwwocj moves to the Neve Şalom Synagogue in Galata.
The permanent exhibition of the Quincentennial Foundation's Turkish Jewish Museum presents the history of the Jewish people in Turkey with its collection of cultural artifacts and exhibits of crafts, Islamic art and How Judaism, Symbolism, and Daily Life in the Ottoman Empire strongly influenced the Jewish community.
The museum consists of three different galleries:
- History of the Jews in Anatolia
- The Judaica area displays sacred artifacts including Torah scrolls, Megilat Ester and other ceremonial objects
- an interactive map on the touch screen showing all the synagogues and settlements of Jewish life in Turkey
