During this meeting, the Chairman of the Executive Committee at the same time, Mr. O. Galip Gencoglu, proposed to build in Ankara an exact replica of the house in Salonika, Atatürk's hometown. This idea was warmly welcomed by the Executive Committee and after that, all procedures were completed and construction started. At 17:00 hours on 19 May 1981, the foundation of the house was laid by Prime Minister Bülend Ulusu on a plot of land allotted to Atatürk Forest Farm with the presiding over the construction and leadership of the Chamber of Commerce. Ankara and the Nurol Construction Collective, this valuable building was opened by President General Kenan Evren.

The ground floor of the building houses the elegantly decorated reception area while the first floor houses the kitchen, living room and living room. The second floor is Atatürk's room and gallery.

Atatürk's room has the floor covered by a rug measuring 3.86 x 2.82 meters with a white, green and black pattern on a vermilion background. On the right-hand side, next to the entrance, a 4.40 x 2.15 meter wooden panel covers the entire wall with a bronze bust of Atatürk 0.90 meters high.

A sofa is placed in the center of the room, and old-fashioned chairs are lined up and a bronze oil lamp with white shade is hung from hooks in the ceiling complete the interior decoration of the room.

In addition, the gallery is also very attractive with doors that open to the great hall, including personal photographs and documents by Atatürk. To attract the attention of visitors, the floor of the room is not paved and the windows are simply hung with plain colored curtains. In the room there are only cabinets, a bookshelf and some photos.
