Profile
Although it doesn't have the same ocean views as many other restaurants in Hawaii, Alan Wong in Honolulu has retained its position as one of the top restaurants in the area since 1995. Known for its Asian fusion with Bold and creative flavors.
The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of an office building, however, the interior of the restaurant is a space that both reflects the high-class fine dining of the dishes and has a hint of the comfort of the island culture. The staff at the restaurant are all very friendly and passionate about sharing local cuisine and ingredients. Each plate of food is a work of art, both in taste and presentation.
Some of the popular dishes at Alan Wong include Poke-Pines and Da Bag (steamed clams with kalua-style pork), Red snapper onaga and ginger, and Ribs, one of President Barack Obama's favorites. The standout dessert here is The Coconut with a chocolate shell, inside with coconut-haupia ice cream and a variety of fruits.
