Dating back to the Shu Han period (221–263 AD), Jinli was once a prosperous marketplace in ancient Chengdu. Today, the street has been carefully restored with Ming and Qing-style architecture. Curved rooftops, glowing red lanterns, and stone-paved alleys bring to life a vivid cinematic scene from centuries ago.
Jinli is more than a tourist attraction—it’s a living record of Sichuan’s history. Discover handcraft stores, wooden carving masters, face-changing opera performers (Bian Lian), and traditional teahouses—all blending heritage with everyday life.
Whether you’re into cultural experiences or food adventures, Jinli offers freedom to explore your way. Browse unique souvenir shops, try on a Hanfu costume for photos, or simply get lost in the ancient vibe. For food lovers, don't miss Sichuan spicy noodles, crispy rice cakes, or sweet candied hawthorns.
By night, Jinli transforms into a glowing wonderland. Folk music fills the air, street performances dazzle the crowd, and the entire street bathes in a warm, nostalgic glow—a place where history dances with modernity.
Opening hours: 9 AM – 10 PM daily
Entry fee: Free
