The construction cost of Song Han Bridge was supported and contributed by the people of the city, accounting for 30% of the total construction cost of 117 billion VND. The bridge started on September 2, 1998 and was inaugurated on March 29, 2000. The Han River Bridge is a testament to the strength of people's hearts in Da Nang in the days of their determination to build the most livable city in Vietnam.

Han River Swing Bridge is a swing bridge designed and constructed by engineers and workers of Vietnam. The bridge is 487.7m long, 12.9m wide, including 11 spans, each span is 33m long; reinforced concrete structure and 02 cable-stayed spans with a total length of 122.7m. The bridge is crossed by the Han River, connecting the East - West banks, connecting Son Tra Peninsula with the city center, facilitating transportation, tourism, and awakening the economic potential of a large area.

The special thing of this bridge is that every night at about 1 o'clock at night, the middle part of the bridge rotates 90 degrees around the axis, lying along the direction of the river's flow, paving the way for large ships to pass through, until about 4 am. will go back to the way it was.
