HMS Caroline

HMS Caroline was a historic Royal Navy ship built in 1914 that saw action in World War I and served as an administrative center during World War II. During World War I, the ship participated in a number of major naval engagements, including the 1916 Battle of Jutland. After the war, she was used as a training ship and served in a variety of roles. until decommissioned in 2011.

In 2012, the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth and the National Trust began a partnership to restore and preserve the ship. Restoration work included the removal of all modern equipment and furnishings and the return of the ship to its original 1914 appearance. The ship has also been moved to a new location at Alexandra Pier in Belfast for the public to visit.

In addition to seeing and experiencing the entire ancient battleship, visitors can also take part in a number of interactive exhibits, including a virtual reality experience that simulates the Battle of Jutland and displays of artifacts from human history. ship.
