The Beyer Watch Museum is located in Zürich's most prestigious shopping district, located in the city center, on the grounds of the Beyer watch shop. The exhibition includes about 250 works from all fields chronologically, examined technically and scientifically as well as from an art-historical point of view.

The museum is home to one of the most important collections of horology in the world. It recounts the entire history of the chronometer from 1400 BC to the present day.

Exhibits include the presentation of rare items such as ball bats, sundials, oil lamp clocks, hourglasses, water and tower clocks, Renaissance automata, magnificent pendulum clocks, clocks desk clocks, ornate pocket watches and prototypes of the first quartz wristwatches, and scientific instruments for timekeeping and navigation. Some very fragile automatic watches can also be seen in action – a real rarity.

Recorded video shows the artistic masterpiece in action. In addition, visitors can find more information about most of the watches on display in six different languages using the iPads provided.
