FOOD IN MITTE

Lebensmittel in Mitte is not only the name but also the look and feel of a classic grocery store, they also used to sell fresh vegetables and fruits but today are limited to some canned goods, wine and bread. The restaurant is located right behind the busy shopping street Alte Schönhauser, but when entering Lebensmittel, guests will not see the luxury of the center but instead are rustic German-style wooden tables and chairs. In the summer, guests can sit outside on wooden benches to enjoy a beer on the quiet street.

Restaurant Lebensmittel stands out from the crowd of South German restaurants in Berlin. This is one of the few places where guests can actually eat a seasonal, high-quality and home-made lunch with a taste of Southern Germany. The standard menu is based on traditions such as Spätzle, Maultaschen, Schnitzel and Schweinebraten (grilled pork) with Spätzle and Schnitzel being particularly popular.
