Jardines de Sabatini (Royal Garden of Sabatini)

icon-locationCalle de Bailén, 2, 28013 Madrid, Spain
"The Sabatini Royal Garden was started construction in the 1930s during the Second World War and was completed after the civil war. The garden is designed in neoclassical style and is part of the Palace. The garden has been open to the public by King Juan Carlos I since 1978. Italian architect Francesco Sabatini (1722–1797) was a major contributor to the design of the Royal Palace. ."

Architect Sabatini did not design the garden, but instead designed the palace's old stables, which were later converted into gardens. The Sabatini Royal Garden on the north side of the Palace, located on two streets Bailén Cuesta de San Vicente, covers an area of up to 2.54 hectares.
The Sabatini Royal Garden is the perfect place for visitors to rest and relax during their exploration of Madrid. When coming here, visitors can admire the breathtaking view of the northern façade of the Royal Palace, the botanical labyrinth, sculptures, ponds...

The Sabatini Royal Garden is also the venue for an outdoor performance stage called "Los Veranos de la Villa", an art event (especially with a flamenco performance).
The original architectural and decorative style was arranged as an extension of the castle and as a place to display a number of sculptures. The distinctive design and location make it one of the most beautiful gardens in Madrid.
The garden is always a beautiful place to visit at any time of the day, however, sunset is the best time to fully appreciate its beauty.
