The "Symphony of Lights" is considered as one of the experiences that visitors should not miss when coming to Hong Kong, which inherently possesses the most immense and beautiful skylines in the world. Since 2004, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has decided to come up with a bold idea, creating a highlight to promote the image of a modern Hong Kong city at night along the romantic Victoria Harbour. Since then, the landscape and modern beauty of Hong Kong seem to be sublimated and put into a real artistic symphony.

At 8pm (local time) nightly, 44 skyscrapers along Victoria Harbor come to life with a symphony orchestra combined with laser lights, colorful decorative lights, firecrackers and fireworks. flower. Visitors will involuntarily feel the sound of traditional Chinese musical instruments such as flute or erhu… blend, combined with Western instruments to create extremely delicate musical symphonies. highlights the characteristics of a modern city but still retains the unique cultural and spiritual values. The show lasted for about 14 minutes, making visitors' hearts flutter and satisfied and was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest regularly held sound and light show.

The symphony of light is made according to a complete and enthusiastic script, the high-rise buildings seem to be combined and coordinated with each other to create a harmonious and complete light picture. The city is an endless source of inspiration for the symphony, from the beautiful symmetry of the skylines, the modern urban design to the mountainous terrain… all delivering a show of sound and light. alive that you can perceive with many senses.

There are 5 main themes of the symphony of lights that take you on a unique journey that celebrates the rich cultural and spiritual values and pride of the people of Hong Kong:

  1. The first scene “Awakening”: starts with small, flickering laser lights then gradually people light up and dance all over the buildings. This scene represents the strong formation and development of Hong Kong
  2. The second scene “Energy”: represented by the increase of colors and the powerful lighting system in the night sky, symbolizing the wonderful lively energy of Hong Kong people
  3. The third scene "Heritage": with the main colors red and yellow (according to Chinese tradition, these two colors bring luck and prosperity). Music using traditional instruments is included, introducing visitors to a long and proud traditional culture and heritage of the people here.
  4. Fourth scene “Collaboration”: beams of laser and searchlight sweep across Victoria Harbour, light being transmitted to the opposite shore; symbolizes the spread of love, enduring cooperation
  5. The last scene “Celebration”: an extremely beautiful and lively performance of the lighting systems creating light effects as if dancing across the sea and the two sides of the harbour. The symphony of lights closes impressively and symbolizes the most modern city in Asia.

Places to fully enjoy the symphony of lights: the banks of the Tsim Sha Tsui river, outside the Hong Kong cultural center, Avenue of the Stars, the promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wanchai (Wanchai) Or you can choose to experience the Star Ferry that combines exploring Victoria Harbor and enjoying a symphony of lights.
