With an area of over 515 hectares, the rich and green Sicao Mangrove Reserve is located in the Taijiang National Park. Because it is a protected area with strict regulations, the boats in the area are all small rowing boats, also known as bamboo rafts to avoid pollution, each boat needs at least 15 guests to depart, and will take about 20 minutes. minute. Sitting on a bamboo boat, gently rowing through the mangroves, with the light shining through the trees, enjoying the extreme tranquility in the fresh air of the wildlife reserve will make your soul complete. totally relaxed.
Beneath the blue canal water are many brackish fishes and algae. If you pay attention, you will also see a lot of cuffs swimming along the trees, or schools of white mudskippers - a typical Sicao fish that dives in the boat. There are also white cranes, salamanders and many other types of wildlife.
If you are more active and want to see more of the reserve, you can rent a bicycle and you will be provided with a map and directions. Note that only pedal along the main roads so as not to get lost.
