Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia & Free Day (Dinner)

Yeah! You have finally arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Capital of Mongolia. Our driver will pick you up from the arrival hall in Chinggis Khaan International Airport and transfer to the hotel. This dynamic city has a little over 1 million population and offers many sites to explore. We will have a welcome dinner in local restaurant tonight.

Accommodation: Holiday Inn/Platinum 3* hotel in Ulaanbaatar.
Distance: 1 hour and 30 minutes ride to the city center depending on city traffic.

Day 2: Kharkhorin & Erdene Zuu Monastery (Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner)

This morning, Travel Buddies tour guide and driver pick you up from the hotel and head to the former capital Kharkhorin.

Upon arrival, we will visit Erdenezuu; the first Buddhist monastery surrounded by huge 400m x 400m walls built from the ruins of Kharakhorum, in 16th century.

Visit Karakorum museum and see findings and objects from the 13th century Mongolia Empire, Stone Age, Bronze Age and Ancient state period.

Overnight in tourist Ger camp.

Day 3 : Explore Orkhon Waterfall (Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner)

Today we will arrive in beautiful valley Orkhon. Along the way, you will visit Temeen Chuluun Deer Stone – tombstone and deer steles since it was home to ancient people. Enjoy a break in Uurtiin Tohoi Cliffs - viewpoint over Orkhon valley. Deep in the valley, discover Orkhon waterfall, a part of Unesco world heritage site and happy nomads village.

After that, we will arrive in a nomad family who will host us tonight and share their lifestyle. You will engage in their daily chores including milking, rounding livestock, cooking class of dumplings making, processing dairy products, and playing traditional games. Stay overnight in nomad family’s guest Ger.

Distance: 4 hours’ drive on paved road.

Day 4: Horse riding with locals (Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner)

Start the morning helping the family milking the cow, make yogurt/cheese, and herd the livestock. Also, saddle on Mongolian horse with locals and explore the park. Stay overnight in nomad family’ guest ger.

Distance: 2 hours’ drive on dirt road.

Day 5: Mini Gobi Desert – Camel Riding (Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner)

After breakfast, we will head to Mongol sand dune, extended 80km displaying a taste of the Gobi Desert and visit ruin of the temple called Erdenekhamba in Khogno Khan Nature reserve. Ride Bactrian camel for an hour. Late afternoon we will return to Ulaanbaatar. Have a Farewell dinner – Mongolian Traditional Food and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Departure (Breakfast)

End of tour. Departure from Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Our tour driver will drop you off at the airport approx. 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Distance: 1 hour and 30 minutes drive on paved road.
