Profile
Also known as Ishq-e-Dilli (Romantic Delhi), the Sound and Light show takes place in the evening for an hour. The performance has a modern twist with the use of lasers illuminating the Humayun Gate. It unfolds a condensed story of how the city of Delhi has evolved over the years and why it has been the country's capital for generations. The story also introduces visitors to the legend of the rulers and history of Delhi over the past 5,000 years. The accompanying soundtrack and voices in the show are dramatic and full of mystery. The laser beams, the ever-changing projection, and the towers and walls of the fortress also glow in the night sky, adding to the charm of visitors.
Usually tourists will sign up for a four-hour tour that includes a show, combined with dinner served at a fine-dining restaurant and round-trip transportation. This is considered a highlight in the journey of every visitor when visiting Delhi.
