During the day, the Cinchona Bar in the 25Hours hotel on Langstrasse is like a cozy living room serving aromatic cups of coffee with nutritious breakfast plates. By evening, it became a lively venue for social gatherings in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Here, the aperitif culinary culture among local residents, hotel guests and cocktail lovers near and far is actively fostered. The focal point of the bar was designed by renowned Hamburg bartender, Jörg Meyer, with highballs, small, simple drinks consisting of a brandy mixed with top quality non-alcoholic beverages.
Drinks are served on rocks and in tall, chilled highball glasses that are quickly prepared and enjoyed right away, allowing guests to try a variety of concoctions and flavors. The name “Cinchona” is also the name of the flowering shrub whose bitter substances are used to flavor wines such as sherry, Madeira, port and vermouth.
Signature drinks at the bar include: Penicillin Highball featuring 10years Laphroaig whiskey, Fluffy Tommy's Sour featuring a special Calle 23 Tequila Blanco, or Sexy Bitters flavored Samogon Highball. In addition, Cinchona Bar also serves wine and sparkling wine and a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beers.
