Start your Taipei city tour by meeting your guide at Daan Park MRT Station. Get together with your group earlier to choose and test ride bikes before starting your ride. Cycle past lakes and pavilions along the recreational trail through the 64-acre Daan Forest Park (aka Da'an Park), to the tranquil Qingtian Street for a tour with the help of a guide pellets.
Admire Qingtian Geo 76, a Japanese-style heritage house, before stopping your bike in downtown Taipei to visit the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. If time permits, watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony before heading inside to tour this palatial memorial to the former president.
Continue cycling and then walk your guide to Yongkang Street to indulge your food cravings with a plethora of eateries, restaurants and cafes (own expense). Your guide can introduce traditional Taiwanese specialties such as steamed fried baozi (dumplings), beef noodles and stewed minced pork.
After lunch, take the subway for 15 minutes to reach Xiangshan Hiking Trail at Elephant Mountain. Climb dozens of steep steps for panoramic views of the city's skyline, marked by the towering Taipei 101 skyscraper.
Then, your guide will accompany you by public bus for 30 minutes to Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. Before finishing your tour, you'll have a tour of the old tobacco building, now a design exhibition space often referred to as "Taipei's Creative Hub". Note: some areas are free while others are at your own expense.
Your guide can point you to your next destination from the nearby metro station.
