What to expect

Day 1: Yangon

When you arrive in Yangon, welcome by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2: Yangon - Yangon sightseeing - Sunset at Myanmar's Most Important Pagoda (Breakfast)

Enjoy private tour and drive through downtown to explore the city center and its fabulous mix of architecture and sites. The streets are filled with historical buildings many of which have a faded colonial charm not seen elsewhere in Asia.

You’ll start at the post office – a lovely historic building, passing by Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument along the way.

Then visit famous Chauk Htat Kyi, home to a 70-meter long reclining Buddha. The feet of the statue carved with traditional symbols and often many locals gathering to pay homage and pray. Photo stop at the Karaweik Hall royal floating barge. Nothing will prepare you for Shwedagon Pagoda, with its glittering gold stupa. At the pagoda observe local pilgrims and monks offering their devotions and enjoy the amazing sunset view at Shwedagon pagoda.

Day 3: Yangon – Bago - Yangon (Breakfast)
After breakfast drive to Bago, an ancient Mon capital city. On arrival in Bago, visit to local market. Continue visit to over a thousand years old, Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Proceed to Shwe Tha Lyaung Pagoda, reclining Buddha, which is among one of the country’s most impressive image statue, is 180 feet long and 52 feet high. Then proceed to Yangon on the way sightseeing at Allied War Memorial Cemetery.

Day 4: Yangon – Colonial Beauty in the Old City (Breakfast)
After breakfast, drive through the city and observe the influences of diverse other cultures in the region. Also rare visit to over 130-year-old Jewish Synagogue in downtown. Then enjoy visiting Scott Market, the sprawling 90-year-old Market (closed on Monday and public holidays).

At the market, you will find a whole variety of interesting Burmese souvenirs, from lacquerware to gems & jewelry – a bargain at the stores to fully experience the Burmese market atmosphere! In the late afternoon, visit the Chinatown area with street food and nightlife.

Day 5: Yangon – departure (Breakfast)
After breakfast, day at leisure until transfer to airport for an International departure flight

All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged.

  • Up to 30 days prior to arrival: no fees.
  • 30 – 21 days prior to arrival date: 35% of the tour cost.
  • 20 – 14 days prior to arrival date – 50% of the tour cost.
  • 14 – 8 days prior to arrival date – 70% of the tour cost.
  • 7 days or less prior to arrival date – 100% of tour cost.
