The day begins at 08:00 as you leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind and head toward the rural charm of the Mekong Delta, a 2-hour drive through the vibrant countryside.

Start your adventure with a scenic boat ride through the Tan My floating village, where you’ll witness the unique way of life of people who live in floating houses and sustain themselves with fishing and farming. Continue by private boat to a local fish farm, where you’ll learn about aquaculture practices and have the opportunity to feed the fish.

Next, enjoy a traditional sampan ride, a small wooden boat used by locals for navigating the narrow canals, offering a peaceful and picturesque view of the region’s countryside.

Pedal or take a buggy ride to a local mushroom farm, where you’ll discover the growing process of this fascinating crop, and sample some of the freshest mushrooms on-site. Then, head to a nearby orchard, where you can indulge in the region’s tropical fruits and learn about the farming techniques that bring them to life.

Visit a local weaving artisan, who will demonstrate the craft of weaving with natural materials. You’ll also get the chance to try your hand at this age-old technique, which plays an important role in the culture of the Mekong Delta.

Enjoy a home-hosted lunch at a local family’s house, where you’ll savor traditional Mekong Delta dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

Afterward, visit another family where you’ll learn how they produce rice wine, a beloved drink of the Mekong Delta. End your day with a short boat ride along the majestic Mekong River before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
