DAY 1: CEBU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – CEBU CITY VISIT (Lunch - dinner)
Our representative will pick you up at Cebu International Airport and start visiting:
- Fort San Pedro , stone fortress built in 1565 by the Spanish to protect the city from attacks by the Dutch and English. Admire the thick and high walls, prison cells, bastions, and historical artifacts displayed in the fort. You can also enjoy the view of Independence Square, a large square located right in front of the fortress, where many important events of the city take place.
- The Basilica Minore del Santo Niño , is the oldest and largest Roman Catholic church in the Philippines, built in 1565 to worship the city's patron saint, Santo Niño (Holy Child). Admire the beautiful architecture, paintings, statues of saints, and decorations that reflect Philippines culture. You can also participate in religious ceremonies, pray, and admire the Santo Niño statue that is said to have miracles.
Have lunch at a local restaurant and rest. Then continue visiting:
- Yap Ancient House - San Diego , one of the oldest houses in the Philippines, was built in 1675 by a Chinese family. The house is preserved intact with many objects and decorations of Chinese-Spanish style. Explore the rooms, belongings, photos, and family stories of the people who lived in the house. You can also take photos and buy souvenirs at the house.
- Cebu's Heritage Monument , a bronze monument erected in 1997 to commemorate the city's important historical events and figures, such as Magellan, Lapu-Lapu, Legazpi, and the uprisings against the Spaniards again. You will learn about the stories and meanings of the images engraved on the monument. You can also take photos and enjoy street food around the monument.
- Magellan's Cross , a wooden cross said to have been placed by Magellan in 1521 when he came to Cebu to spread Catholicism. The cross is protected by a stone obelisk to prevent damage by those who believe it can cure diseases. You can also touch the cross and pray for health and luck.
- Cebu Museum (Museo Sugbo) is a history museum located in a building that was once a prison for the Spanish and Americans. The museum displays many artifacts and documents related to the history, culture and arts of Cebu. Visit the Cebu Museum and explore collections and exhibits about different periods of Cebu's history, from prehistoric, colonial, revolutionary, to modern times. You can also see photos, maps, weapons, and traditional costumes of the Cebuanos.
Then return to the hotel to check in. Dinner at local restaurant.
DAY 2: CEBU – TAOIST TEMPLE – LEAH TEMPLE – LITTLE KYOTO – LITTLE AMSTERDAM – 10000 ROSES (Breakfast - lunch - dinner)
Have breakfast at the hotel and prepare to go sightseeing.
- Taoist Pagoda , a Buddhist temple built in 1972 by people of Chinese descent in Cebu. The pagoda has beautiful architecture, with lotus stands, Buddha statues, and large bells. You can participate in Buddhist ceremonies, enjoy views of the city from above, and try your luck with magic sticks.
- Leah Temple, a structure built in 2012 by a businessman named Teodorico Soriano Adarna in memory of his wife, Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. The temple has a classical Greek style, with pillars, statues of gods, and walls decorated with paintings and poetry. Admire works of art and literature, visit the museum, library, and temple bar.
- Little Kyoto, an area designed in Japanese style, with wooden houses, cherry trees, and lanterns. Experience Japanese culture, like wearing a kimono, eating sushi, and drinking tea in the Little Kyoto area. Have lunch at a local restaurant and rest.
- Sirao Garden , a picturesque flower garden, is known as “Little Amsterdam” because of its many typical Dutch flowers, such as tulips, chrysanthemums, and sunflowers. Here, you can take photos, drop flowers, and participate in fun games in the garden.
- 10000 roses , an area with many artificial roses illuminated by LED lights, creates a romantic and impressive scene. Take photos, and enjoy snacks and drinks at the nearby cafe.
Return to hotel. Then, have dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy Cebu specialties, like roasted pig, grilled fish, and puto.
You are free to explore Cebu city at night, we suggest you attractive places such as:
- Cebu Theater: A historic and luxurious theater where you can see plays, musicals, and other performing arts.
- Western Quarter: A busy and bustling neighborhood where you can find many bars, night clubs, and casinos.
- Fuente Osmeña Park: A green and peaceful park where you can walk, sightsee, and relax.
DAY 3: TAKE TRAIN FROM CEBU TO BOHOL - VISIT RURAL BOHOL (Breakfast - lunch - dinner)
Have breakfast at the hotel and drive from the hotel to Cebu Pier, where you will board a speedboat to go to Bohol Island, a beautiful island located in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.
Arrive at Tagbilaran pier, capital of Bohol province. Along the way, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding small islands:
- Chocolate Hills is a collection of more than 1,200 hills that are round in shape and brown like chocolate in the dry season.
- Tarsier Sanctuary, where you will meet Bohol's rare and adorable creatures, the tarsier. Tarsier is the smallest primate in the world, only the size of a human's palm, with big round eyes and long ears. You can also take photos, but remember not to make noise and not touch the tarsier because they are very sensitive and easily stressed.
- Take a cruise on the Loboc River , a long, green river in Bohol, famous for its river cruises and musical performances by locals. Here, you can enjoy lunch with delicious food and live music on board, and admire the charming landscapes of the river and banks. You can also interact and sing with the locals, or try playing their traditional musical instruments.
- Man-made Forest area , a forest planted by humans in Bohol, with tall, green trees. This forest is considered a wonder of Bohol, as it is the result of local people's efforts to protect the environment and regenerate forests. Feel the coolness and peace of the forest, and hear about the stories and meanings of this forest.
Then, take the ferry back to your hotel in Cebu and have dinner.
DAY 4: DEPARTURE (Breakfast - lunch)
Have breakfast at Hotel.
During the remainder of your last day in the Philippines, you are free to shop and visit Cebu.
