Profile
This farmers market has played an essential role in connecting Houstonians with small farms, local businesses throughout. It is estimated that the Saturday market generates up to $2.9 million each year for neighboring Houston farmers, ranchers and artisans.
Up to now, the farmers market still operates every Saturday morning from 8 am to 12 noon. The current location is quite comfortable, convenient for travel, and the parking space has been significantly expanded.
This is also the largest of the weekly markets in Houston, offering local produce such as: fruits, vegetables, coffee, meat, honey, eggs and more. Every week, at the market there will be different events from live music to food demonstrations, in which the products sold at the market are used.
In addition to supporting the farmers and producers in the area, while also getting a taste of great local produce, it will be fun for visitors to spend a Saturday morning wandering the market with a coffee in hand, a large bag to collect your purchases, chat with vendors and Houstonians. This will bring a sense of integration and closeness to people for visitors.
If you visit this farmers market, don't forget to visit the Hatterman Poultry Farm stall to buy fresh eggs, Pola Cheese and Vanilla Gratitude Bread made with bacon. The freshest and tastiest products sell out quickly, so visit the market as soon as possible.
