The school used to be the place where teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh taught before going abroad to find a way to save the country.

Duc Thanh School was founded in 1907 by Mr. Nguyen Trong Loi and Mr. Nguyen Quy Anh, the two sons of patriotic poet Nguyen Thong. The school was established under the influence of Duy Tan movement with the aim of expanding people's knowledge, awakening national consciousness and patriotism.

In 1910, before starting his journey around the world, teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh was introduced to Duc Thanh School to knock children's heads. At this time, the school has about 60 students with 7 teachers. Mr. Thanh teaches second grade, mainly the subjects of national literature and kanji literature. In addition to the knowledge in books, teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh also teaches students about love for their homeland and country, thereby evoking a sense of national independence for them.

In 1911, Master Thanh left Duc Thanh school and crossed the ocean to find a way to save the country. A year later, teacher Nguyen Trong Loi died, teacher Nguyen Quy Anh moved to Saigon, so Duc Thanh school had to close.

After the country was reunified, according to the wishes of the local people and to show gratitude to the beloved Uncle Ho, who educated the patriotic tradition for future generations, Duc Thanh school was restored. based on the memories of former students.

Today, when visiting Duc Thanh school, visitors can see the items that were once attached to Uncle Ho such as: desks, ink slabs, sofas, star fruit trees, water wells, etc. You can better understand Uncle Ho's life as a teacher and the peace of a school in the countryside of Vietnam.
