Profile
Located on the sixth floor and accessible by a glass elevator in the lobby, La Muña restaurant overlooks the city from its tree-lined roof terrace. The second restaurant of the hotel La Réserve Eden au Lac Zürich is a treasure that mixes imaginary memories of moments on the lake with vintage decorative objects collected from within the city as well as the whole city, This Japanese fusion restaurant offers a unique 360° view of the historic center, with Lake Zürich and the Alps in the distance.
The restaurant is divided into two areas.
Inside, tables and chairs take over what used to be an old attic beneath the hotel's dome. Continuing the spirit of a minimalist and respectful innovation, Philippe Starck sought to enhance existing structural elements. The monumental frame is superbly highlighted, with the original brick walls and wooden floors once again on display. The furniture here also seems to have always remained in the imaginary office of this harbor room: with light leather upholstered in vintage floral fabrics, and rugs picked up on trips to Persia and Europe ASIAN. In the pigeon coop, stained-glass windows created by Ara Starck accompany and direct sunlight through the dome. Like a multifaceted story, these stained glass windows tell many different stories throughout the day, giving diners a magical and unique experience.
Two large outdoor terraces with views surrounded by the green of the lake water and surrounding nature, one of the two terraces can be used for private events. Whether on sofas or on tables, under large umbrellas, guests can enjoy a relaxed and festive atmosphere while sharing Peruvian specialties by chef Miya Gunji, whose creativity and culinary sophistication has satisfied Swiss gourmets, from Lucerne to Geneva.
Incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour, La Muña's cuisine combines different textures, raw and marinated elements, acidity and sweetness – based on carefully sourced ingredients, including some rarely found in Europe – expressed through exquisitely prepared and presented delicacies. Each table can choose from Crudo or Caliente dishes, where ceviches are flavored with fresh herbs and spices marinated with beef teriyaki steak with mushroom sauce, or sashimi is served with wakame seriole with ponzu sauce. for a complete culinary experience.
