This is a cluster of relics of the ancient Champa Kingdom, considered as one of the important landmarks of the Cham culture in central Vietnam.

Poshanu Cham Tower is located on Ba Na Hills, 7km from Phan Thiet city center and is one of the oldest works of the Cham people still standing to this day.

The Poshanu indigo tower site was built between the 8th and 9th centuries to worship the main gods of Hinduism. In the 15th century, a number of temples were added in the ruins to worship Princess Po Sah Inu, the daughter of King Para Chanh. Some ruins of these temples were discovered during the archaeological excavations that took place from 1992 to 1995. In addition, the Cham people also worshiped the fire god and the bull god Nandi in this relic site.

Currently, the Poshanu Cham tower relic has only three towers, including the main tower, the medium tower and the small tower with the height of 15m, 12m and 5m respectively. All three towers are built with a common design, which is a square base, a pyramidal top, an arched entrance, and the materials that make up the tower's solid structure are red bricks glued together with resin. .

The main tower has a rather long entrance on the east side and three other false entrances on the other three sides. In which, according to Cham legend, the entrance to the east is where the gods reside. Inside the main tower are stone altars and many details carved with strange patterns and images reflecting the life of the Cham people at that time.

The remaining two towers were built with a smaller size but also carried the same decorative and sculptural features with the main tower.

In 1991, Poshanu Cham Tower was recognized as a National Art and Architecture Monument.

Visitors here can learn more about the traditions and rituals of the Cham people and thanks to the hilltop location of the Poshanu Cham tower, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of Phan Thiet. Especially, if you come here on holidays, you will admire the unique Cham dances.
