Profile
Sa Pa land is inhabited by many ethnic minorities, including the Red Dao community. The Red Dao people in Sa Pa are well known for their famous herbal bath remedies. It is unknown when the Dao people have passed on to each other how to make traditional bath water from herbs for health care. Most of the leaves are picked in the forest, usually around April of the year is the time when people go to the forest to pick the most leaves. After picking, they will cook for bathing, soaking and the rest of the leaves will be dried for the next time.
Each family has a different remedy and is passed down from generation to generation, only the sons in the family are passed on. These remedies are very good for people with joint pain, people who have just woken up. After washing, the leaves will be boiled for 4 hours by the Dao people to take a bath, otherwise people will boil them for 2 days and 2 nights to form the juice for the following bathing sessions. Currently in Sa Pa there are many facilities for other tourists to experience bathing or soaking, in addition, you can easily find bottles of boiled medicinal juice or bags of tobacco leaves to take home to take a bath. .
