With an extensive collection of works dating from the 14th century to the present, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart is one of Germany's most popular museums. Both the impressive museum complex and its properties reflect the connection between tradition and modernity.
Staatsgalerie Stuttgart presents its superb collection on approximately 9,000 square meters of exhibition space provided by the old 1843 building, the famous postmodern Stirling Building and the Steib Halls built in 2002. The prominent Holdings has many works from the Ministry of Prints, drawings and photographs, early Swabian panel paintings and outstanding examples of 19th-century Swabian neoclassicism.
