Harpoon Brewery was one of the first craft brewers in the New England region and one of the largest in the United States.

Founded in 1986, Harpoon was the first company to receive a license to manufacture and sell alcohol in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 25 years. In 2013, Harpoon expanded and launched a German-style "beer hall" Beer Hall located in the Seaport District. This place quickly became a must-visit destination for beer lovers in Boston.

Harpoon is best known for its Pale Ale beers, such as India Pale Ale, and its range of UFO stouts, including UFO Hefeweizen, UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, UFO White and Boston Irish Stout. One of Harpoon's signature beers is the "100 Barrel Series", which consists of beers made only one-of-a-kind.

In addition, Harpoon is also known for the festivals held at the factory every year, such as St. Patrick's Day, Harpoonfest and Octoberfest. Festivals often include music, food and, of course, beer.

Harpoon is also famous for its pretzels made from leftover brewer's yeast.
At Harpoon, there are tours around the factory if you want. Visitors can find more information about the tour schedule on the official website of Harpoon Brewery.
