Profile
Nicknamed the “Institute for Advanced Drinking,” this small bar is considered a classic and a hidden gem of Berlin. This little bar only seats 25 but it's worth getting there early and grabbing a seat because of the special from recipe to bartender. The bar is decorated with vintage 1970s-style interiors, reminiscent of pre-war Berlin, with walls lined with glass-fronted cupboards displaying different blends .
Rum Trader - the name speaks for itself in part, specializing in rum based drinks with a bartender cum owner very knowledgeable about most rums and how to make them. Some of the finest gin are also available here. Everything is supervised by the owner Scholl, who is always dressed in suits and bows and chats intimately with regular customers or those dressed in his Joyce style.
Rum Trader doesn't have a menu, as Scholl will always ask his guests' beverage preferences and make something to suit them, so everyone who comes here is open to a new experience.
It can be said that Rum Trader is really a bar for elegant connoisseurs.
