Hua Hin has a wide range of shopping experiences available to visitors. Local markets such as the Day Market or the Night Market offer a wide variety of goods. If you are looking for unique handicrafts, vintage or antiques then you have come to the right place as Hua Hin always has a wide range of such items available. In addition, beachwear and summer accessories are available if you are planning to go to the beach. Cha-Am and Pranburi are on the slightly quieter side of the shopping front, so for variety and choice you should explore the town of Hua Hin.

More than just a themed outdoor shopping mall, Plearn Wan is like a living museum where you can experience a part of life in 1950s Hua Hin. Plern Wan's two-story courtyard-style building As an architectural landmark, there's a community of antique-style shops selling everything from booze, cheap plastic and tin toys, snacks, as well as beauty parlors and photo studios. , an outdoor cinema and a 20-room guesthouse or 'Piman Plern Wan.

From the main street, it's hard to miss the curious entrance of Plern Wan - a massive structure made of reclaimed wood planks - hard to miss. Stepping through the small opening (compared to the wooden structure) is like stepping into a time machine - suddenly, you find yourself surrounded by all things vintage. When crowded, often at night, the carnival atmosphere resembles a temple fair held to perfection decades ago.

Food is the main highlight at Plearn Wan. But unlike the usual pad Thai or grilled meat skewers, you will find a harmonious combination of old and new dishes. Hard-to-find snacks, such as 'tong muan sod' (sweet pancakes) and 'ka lor jee' (similar to Japanese mochi), cooked to order at one of the street vendors along the way accompanied by typical dishes such as noodles and grilled pork over rice. And if you're a fan of Thai sweets, you'll find tons of mouthwatering recipes here, from mango sticky rice to grass jelly with shaved ice and fruit preserved in sweet syrup.

Besides jumping from cart to cart, shopping is another favorite pastime of visitors to Plern Wan. The collection of souvenirs, toys, clothes, fashion accessories and even a shop selling 'nam prik' (chili sauce) varieties is quite impressive - even if you buy nothing, it looks pretty interesting all around.

True to its name (Plern Wan means 'joy of the year'), Plern Wan has a fairground complete with a ferris wheel, game booths and an open-air cinema where sessions screenings take place on weekend evenings.

For those who can't see all of Plern Wan in one day, stay overnight at Piman Plern Wan, a boutique guesthouse located on the second floor. All rooms are individually furnished in an interesting vintage style, but they are not cheap and can be noisy in high season (as the shopping and dining areas are directly below it).
