Profile
Started construction in 1647 in the renaissance style, the church was originally named Notre Dame de la Paix. Then in 1674, the church changed its name to Notre Dame Cathedral of Montreal and modified in a number of buildings, the existing decorative patterns based on the new criteria of the church. In 1922, the Notre-Dame Basilica was destroyed by a fire and a year later the apostles worked together to rebuild it. To this day, Notre-Dame Basilica has become a historical monument and also a famous tourist destination of Montreal in particular and Canada in general.
Visitors will be surprised with the magnificence and magnificence inside the church's cathedral with its sophisticated interior design and the orange-yellow light of the altar and the wide open ceiling that opens up as blue as the sky. All will create a sacred atmosphere but equally luxurious and elegant. Behind the church is the place where the organ was placed in 1891 and until now, the organ is still well preserved. For a small fee, guests can watch this ancient instrument play from the balcony.
