Profile
The French Quarter is a must-see in New Orleans. The beautiful streetscapes, delicious food, and melodious jazz atmosphere create the mysterious and somewhat romantic character of New Orleans.
The defining feature of this place is the old buildings, some 300 years old, French style with iron balconies, red tile roofs and lovely courtyards. Currently, in many of these buildings are hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, galleries and a variety of places to enjoy Jazz music and other entertainment programs. Therefore, the French Quarter is not only famous for its architecture, but also for its great dining and entertainment.
The most famous street in the French Quarter is Bourbon Street. From a peaceful street in the morning, this road gradually transforms into a noisy and bustling walking area as the sun goes down. Royal Street is a mix of history, fine dining and shopping opportunities at boutiques, galleries and luxury hotels. One of the famous buildings on Royal Street is the Court of Two Sisters (1832), now a restaurant, famous for its "brunch" combined with enjoying jazz music. If you love Jazz music, you can not ignore Frenchmen Street, where many traditional Jazz artists and delicious, quality eateries are frequented.
In addition, in the French Quarter, there are many other attractions such as Jackson Square and St Louis Cathedral.
