In small study groups (maximum 4 people), visitors will have the opportunity to visit and choose to buy fresh ingredients at the famous Winterfeldmarkt market in Berlin's Schöneberg district. While strolling through about 200 stalls to buy organic meat or fish, fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs and spices, you will get a glimpse of the daily activities of the locals. Along the way, your guide will point out unique spices, regional delicacies, Turkish dishes or rare finds like wild herbs, edible flowers and wild mushrooms.
After shopping, you will stop on the way where there are a variety of craft shops where you can sample handmade chocolates and wines produced in the area.
Learn to cook at home, where guests, under guidance, will head into the kitchen to cook a four-course lunch of traditional German cuisine (the dishes will vary depending on the season and season). Learn tips and techniques from expert guides and learn more about Germany's rich culinary scene. Enjoy a homemade lunch with a glass of wine or German beer.
The cooking class will last about 6 hours, including going to the market to buy ingredients and cooking.
