Profile
This 24.5-acre park in front of Chicago is one of the most popular spots to spend time outdoors, see public art, and attend special events.
The central work of the park is the statue of Cloud Gate (roughly translated as Cua May), also known as "Hau Dau", weighing 110 tons with a mirror-polished exterior, reflecting the surrounding landscape. This can be said to be the most famous symbol in the city.
One of the other notable structures at Millennium Park is the Crown Fountain. The "Fountain" is made up of two large vertical screens that show the faces of the people of Chicago, with water as if "sprayed" from the mouth.
In addition, visitors can also watch free performances at the outdoor Jay Pritzker Pavilion; or, stroll around the tranquil Lurie Garden. In winter, ice skating at the McCormick Tribune is also a popular activity at the park.
For more information on events and shows at the park, visitors can refer to the park's website
