Profile
The head chef and restaurateur is Rossitza Kotzeva, after graduating from a university in Sofia, she moved to university in New York and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Investment. After working at a small brokerage firm on Madison Avenue, she returned to her hometown and devoted herself to building Brick Café Sofia with the desire to turn it into a place where diners come here not only to dine. but also to interact with people from different parts of the world.
Brick Café Bar & Dinner first opened on December 1, 2011 in the midst of a bitter cold winter, with only 35 seats, covering the interior of the restaurant. Everything at that time was covered with deep and thick snow, but it was Rossitza Kotzeva's hard beginnings and enthusiasm that made the restaurant one of the most attractive destinations for visitors today.
Brick Café Sofia's menu is like a map gathered from all over the world, each dish here is a small piece of love representing its country. Diners can find from Cuban sandwiches to Thai sates to Mexican nachos and salsa and Italian Pizza Pepperoni or onion soup with French cognac at the restaurant. Especially, the Mediterranean dishes here created thanks to the skillful combination have been warmly received by diners. The outside of the restaurant is decorated with an open and comfortable space, suitable for light and sunny weekend breakfasts. Along with that, the space inside is a suitable place for cozy and luxurious evenings, where diners can both dine and relax with wooden furniture and melodious music.
Each diner is served a complimentary sangria (made from a blend of brandy, red wine, sliced or chopped fresh fruit and sweeteners) as the restaurant's greeting. Besides, when dining at Brick Café Sofia from 19:30 to 21:30 on weekdays, diners will be able to listen to classics through the flexible hands of a pianist. .
Brick Café Sofia welcomes people from all over the world with its varied cuisine, friendly staff and affordable prices. This has made the restaurant so popular that it is affectionately known as the “United Nations of Brick Café”.
