The bridge between San Francisco and Marin County and the northern counties, the Golden Gate Bridge was once one of the most beautiful structures in the United States. Opened on May 28, 1937, the bridge took four years to complete, and at the time, was the longest suspension bridge in the world.

For those who want to admire the view of the bridge and take souvenir photos, there are many ways. Visitors can cruise around San Francisco Bay. The train will take you past the Alcatraz prison, and around the Golden Gate Bridge. In this way, visitors will have the opportunity to capture the sphere from many different perspectives. Especially, if you take the train in the late afternoon, you can also admire the sunset behind the bridge. Tickets for trains will be sold at Pier 39. Note, in the summer, the area around the bridge will be very foggy, covering many parts of the bridge. In all seasons, cruising on the bay will be windy and very cold. Visitors are advised to bring coats and scarves to keep warm.

Bicycles can be rented from many points around central San Francisco. A journey with many beautiful sights and some other great landmarks is cycling from Pier 39, passing Fort Mason Army Post Office, Marina, Presidio National Park, and of course via the Golden Gate Bridge. When passing through here, visitors will admire the beautiful city and bay. The end point is the beautiful port town of Sausalito. From here, visitors take a ferry to Pier 39.

Note, the bike path is relatively long and some places are quite steep, requiring visitors to have enough physical strength to be able to make the most of the experience. Pedestrians and cyclists are only allowed to cross the bridge when there is light. Visitors should check the sunset time, and the last ferry time so as not to miss the opportunity.
