Visitors from all over visit the Ramabhar Stupa because it is a place that has carefully preserved the remaining vestiges of history. The semicircular red brick Ramabhar stupa has lost the top of the stupa, the diameter at the bottom is 47 m, the height is 15 m and the diameter is only 34 m, the top part of the stupa is convex and concave, and the remaining slant is eroded by time. The stupa faces the road, which connects Kushinagar with Deoria. The Ramabhar Stupa in Kushinagar was built to mark the actual cremation site of the Buddha.
From ancient Buddhist texts it is known that the Ramabhar Stupa was called Mukut-Bandhan Vihar. Near the Ramabhar Stupa there is a lake called Ramabhar Jheel, which always dries up during the hot summer months. According to legend, the word Ramabhar may have originated from this pond or mound. Some people even associate the name Ramabhar (Tea Pi) with the event of the Buddha's death. This place often takes place chanting and meditation ceremonies by the old tower.
