Ho Dynasty Citadel was recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage on June 27, 2011, this is one of the rare remaining stone ramparts not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. Ho Dynasty Citadel was built by Ho Quy Ly in 1397 to 1402 to complete all the works. When completed, this has become a magnificent and splendid architectural work, not inferior to Thang Long citadel. Ho Dynasty citadel includes many works such as inner citadel, moat, la citadel and Nam Giao sacrifice altar located outside the citadel.

In addition to being a place to attract tourists to learn about historical stories, the citadel of the Ho Dynasty is also a work with unique construction architecture. The stone slabs are carefully hewn with an average length of 1.5m, some up to 6m long, stacked and interwoven. The interesting thing is that there is no adhesive between the stones, but until now, it still stands after more than 600 years, even though the construction time was only 3 months.
