Lumpini Park appeals to everyone - you'll see elderly people practicing tai chi, couples relaxing by the lake, as well as workers relaxing on park benches or exercise in the evening. On weekends, this green space is the place where families gather for entertainment and it is always bustling with the sounds of children.
Lumpini Park's on-site amenities include rowing boats, a playground, and an outdoor gym. In the late afternoon, you can join the free sessions of aerobics and de-energizing techniques to the tunes of Lumphini Park. There's also a basketball court where you can stay entertained if you're interested. Jazz clubs with local costumes (sometimes a classical orchestra) often perform late afternoons in the park on Sundays.
If you enjoy walking in the park, simply follow the beautiful, maze-like paths that overlook lush gardens, picnic areas, and man-made lakes. There are plenty of covered areas where you can read, meditate or picnic.
Lumpini Park is surrounded by 4 roads: Rama IV, Ratchadamri, Sarasin and Wireless. You can get there by taking the metro to Lumphini or Silom stations, both located right in front of the park.
The park is open every day of the week from 04:30 - 21:00
