Overview

. Students understand the paper recycling process and related scientific concepts (material decomposition, environmental protection).
. Develop observation, measurement, and creative thinking skills through making recycled paper.
. Apply knowledge into practice by recycling old paper into new paper, while combining art to decorate products.
. Encourage cooperation and environmental awareness through group activities.

Meeting and pickup

Study location: University of Science, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, Cho Quan ward, HCMC

Program schedule

. Self-control and self-learning ability: Students learn about the paper recycling process and practice the steps of making paper.
. Communication and collaboration skills: Work in teams to carry out steps in the paper recycling process.
. Problem-solving and creative skills: Find ways to improve the papermaking process and be creative in decorating products.
. Scientific ability: Observe and understand the paper recycling process, recognize physical changes of materials.
. Technological ability: Using simple tools (paper frames) to create products.
. Artistic ability: Decorate recycled paper into artistic products (e.g. cards, paintings).
Mathematical ability: Measure the amount of water and paper needed, calculate the proportions of ingredients.
