Stepping through a small wooden fence covered with green leaves to enter the cobblestone front yard – a favorite place for diners on sunny days or cool weekends, Marzilibrücke offers a cozy friendly space with wooden tables and chairs. Comfortable pillow covers against elegant white backdrop. The restaurant is well managed by young couple Barbara Steimer and Thomas Niffalanger who have many years of experience in the field of hotel and food service management. Barbara is the owner of the HF hotel, and Thomas is a federally certified chef.
The ingredients used at Marzilibrücke are always of the highest quality and are harvested from local sources. Examples include fresh asparagus and eggs from Vero's organic farm in Allenlüften, and fish purchased from Christinat in Gévaux on Lake Murten.
During the summer months, diners can enjoy delicious pizzas under the shade of chestnut trees in the restaurant's front yard. On Sundays and public holidays, Marzilibrücke also serves a full brunch. The menu at the restaurant is always diverse, healthy and also has many vegetarian dishes.
During the winter months, the Marzilibrücke's front yard is equipped with plenty of private space for warm fondue evenings with friends and family.
