Profile
Zen Park, also known as Japanese Zen Park, 3 km from Kushinagar bus station, was built as part of an Indo-Japanese project in 1992-1993 at a cost of sixty-eight thousand rupees. As the name suggests, the park is set up for people to relax and blow off steam by meditating. It sits amidst a serene and natural setting created by man-made bodies of water and raised platforms with verdant grass growing on them.
The park is surrounded by sal trees and many other trees and flowers on either side. It is located near the famous Nirwana Temple, where there is a statue of the Buddha reclining at the attainment of Nirvana. Because the park is close to the Nirean Temple, it creates more favorable conditions for the process of meditation and contemplation. The park is also said to be the best place to heal your body, mind and soul. Therefore, when visiting Kushinagar Buddha land, visitors cannot help but visit this famous Zen park.
Opening hours: 06:00 - 18:00
